Spicy Sweet Chuck Steak

Looking for a quick, easy way to make chuck steak tender and delicious?

You're search is over. I swear.

This Spicy Sweet Chuck Steak is the answer to your prayers (and mine). It takes all of 5 minutes to throw in the slow cooker and just 4 hours to cook. When the timer beeps, your Spicy Sweet Chuck Steak will simply fall apart...no knife necessary!

Spicy Sweet Chuck Steak

  • 2 lb. chuck steak
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 cup warm water
 Thaw your chuck steak.
(As you can see, I stupidly used the microwave to defrost this steak and it cooked a bit of the edge. Note to self...don't wait until 2:00 pm to take the steak out!)
Remove the wrapping and place the steak into the slow cooker.

Pour balsamic vinegar over the steak.

Add ketchup.

Drizzle in the mustard and then...

the steak sauce.

Add the horseradish. (I like the extra hot kind.)

Sprinkle on the salt and pepper.

Pour warm water over the top.

 Close the lid.

Cook for 4 hours.
(You could leave it on for 6, but it really isn't necessary, as you can see below.)

After 4 hours, open the lid and enjoy.
Your chuck steak will literally fall apart.

Enjoy!
